CMOE 401

CMOE 401

Red Team Alliance's Covert Methods of Entry trainings are geared toward students who need to be prepared to work in the field of physical site compromise and entry. This RTA program is segmented into progressive modules which are approached in order, although students may opt to enroll in them consecutively or gradually over time:

  • CMOE 101 : Entry Fundamentals
  • CMOE 201: Core Curriculum
  • CMOE 21X : Regional Platforms
  • CMOE 301: In-Depth Labs & Practical Applications
  • CMOE 401: Advanced & Uncommon Methodologies

This one-day training, Advanced & Uncommon Methodologies, affords participants the opportunity to bring together many of the skills that they have previously learned and apply them against an array of locks. Additional learning modules will cover less conventional approaches and give class participants the opportunity to attempt techniques of attack that are seldom taught in other covert entry training classes.

Course Outline:

  1. Destructive Entry
  2. Residential Environments
    • Mail Slots and Garage Doors
    • Bore Scopes & Peepholes
    • User-Rekeyable Locks
  3. In-Depth Lab: Photo Decoding
  4. Field Expedient Tools
  5. Covert Entry Forensics
  6. In-Depth Lab: Tamper Seals
  7. In-Depth Lab: Mold and Cast Attacks

Graduates of the Red Team Alliance Covert Methods of Entry training program can expect to be able to evaluate and approach a target structure -- whether commercial or residential -- and formulate a plan for gaining entry to the buildings and grounds as well as assorted locked containers and secured spaces that lay within, all with a focus on non-destructive techniques. Whether operating under the aegis of government authority or acting in a private sector security evaluation capacity, CMoE personnel who train with RTA leave class equipped both mentally and materially to tackle the kinds of situations that our industry routinely presents to field agents.

Time: 9:00AM - 5:00PM local time as specified in course listing (Including Coffee and Lunch Breaks)

Requirements and Prerequisites: CMOE 401 is a direct follow-up class to CMOE 301. It is understood that students enrolling in CMOE 401will have completed all perquisite classes, particularly because our participation in those classes entails a full kit of tools and sample hardware issued to each student. Students are expected to have retained their full hardware package from their participation in previous CMOE classes. If any components of a student's hardware package have been damaged or lost, replacements can be made available but we ask that any class participant who needs to avail themselves of this option to please reach out to RTA prior to their enrollment so that we can provision the necessary equipment and adjust their class registration fee accordingly.

Hardware Included:

  • RTT Fire Plug
  • Lishi 2-in-1 tool (KW5)
  • RTT Mold and Cast Clam
  • Metal Ingots
  • Metal Melting Ladle
  • Pocket Lighter
  • Polymer Clay
  • Releasing Agent
  • Covert Folding Scissors
  • Rod Stock and Metal Stock for Improvised Tools

Certification Preparation: RTA's Covert Methods of Entry training courses are seen by most in the industry as a key initial step on the pathway toward achievement of the tiered Red Team Certification Group credentialing process. Most participants who complete the CMOE course program find themselves well prepared for the knowledge exam and practical hands-on exam portions of the Covert Entry Associate certification.

Please note: CMOE 301 and CMOE 401 are in-person only. There is no remote option for days four and five.
