CMOE 301

CMOE 301

Red Team Alliance's Covert Methods of Entry trainings are geared toward students who need to be prepared to work in the field of physical site compromise and entry. This RTA program is segmented into progressive modules which are approached in order, although students may opt to enroll in them consecutively or gradually over time:

  • CMOE 101 : Entry Fundamentals
  • CMOE 201: Core Curriculum
  • CMOE 21X : Regional Platforms
  • CMOE 301: In-Depth Labs & Practical Applications
  • CMOE 401: Advanced & Uncommon Methodologies

This one-day training, In-Depth Labs & Practical Applications, features deeper dives into topics that deserve specialized attention and dedicated effort and serves as a capstone for much of our Covert Entry curriculum. The modules in this class are accompanied by substantial hands-on lab time to ensure that students can build and retain functional skills with the tools and techniques we explore.

Course Outline:

  1. Tamper Fasteners and Field Tools
  2. In-Depth Lab: Door Hardware Disassembly & Lock Core Removal
  3. Optional Lab: Lishi Decoding and Key Making
  4. Optional Lab: Tubular Picking and Key Making
  5. Mini-Lab: Lock Disabling
  6. In-Depth Lab: Master-Keyed Systems
  7. In-Depth Lab: Interchangeable Core Sysems

Graduates of the Red Team Alliance Covert Methods of Entry training program can expect to be able to evaluate and approach a target structure -- whether commercial or residential -- and formulate a plan for gaining entry to the buildings and grounds as well as assorted locked containers and secured spaces that lay within, all with a focus on non-destructive techniques. Whether operating under the aegis of government authority or acting in a private sector security evaluation capacity, CMoE personnel who train with RTA leave class equipped both mentally and materially to tackle the kinds of situations that our industry routinely presents to field agents.

Time: 9:00AM - 5:00PM local time as specified in course listing (Including Coffee and Lunch Breaks)

Requirements and Prerequisites: CMOE301 is a direct follow-up class to our CMOE 21X level classes. It is understood that students enrolling in CMOE 301will have completed all perquisite classes, particularly because our participation in those classes entails a full kit of tools and sample hardware issued to each student. Students are expected to have retained their full hardware package from their participation in previous CMOE classes. If any components of a student's hardware package have been damaged or lost, replacements can be made available but we ask that any class participant who needs to avail themselves of this option to please reach out to RTA prior to their enrollment so that we can provision the necessary equipment and adjust their class registration fee accordingly.

Hardware Included:

  • Lishi 2-in-1 decoder pick (BEST BE-7)
  • SFIC Peterson Turning Tool
  • RTT Tamper Bit Set
  • Hammerless Hinge Pin Tool
  • Lock Disabling Thorn and Lance Set
  • Pre-Scored 0-cut Keys
  • Schlage Control Key Blanks

Certification Preparation: RTA's Covert Methods of Entry training courses are seen by most in the industry as a key initial step on the pathway toward achievement of the tiered Red Team Certification Group credentialing process. Most participants who complete the CMOE course program find themselves well prepared for the knowledge exam and practical hands-on exam portions of the Covert Entry Associate certification.

Please note: CMOE 301 and CMOE 401 are in-person only. There is no remote option for days four and five.
