Training course registrations
Cancellation timeline and refunds
30+ days before course start date: Full refund of course fees minus 100USD administrative fee. This fee covers registration processing, materials preparation, and platform setup costs that have already been incurred.
7-30 days before course start date: No refund available. You may reschedule to any available future course date without additional charge, subject to seat availability. Rescheduling requests must be submitted in writing to training@redteamalliance.com. Your payment will be credited toward the rescheduled course with no penalty beyond the original registration.
Less than 7 days before course start date: No refund or standard rescheduling available. While our policy does not typically accommodate cancellations this close to the training date, we understand that genuine emergencies occur. Requests may be considered on a case-by-case basis at Red Team Alliance's sole discretion for documented extenuating circumstances such as medical emergencies, family bereavements, or visa denials. Please contact us at training@redteamalliance.com with supporting documentation.
No-show: If you fail to attend without prior notification in accordance with this policy, all fees are forfeited. No refund or credit will be provided.
Substitutions
You may substitute another participant for your registration at any time before the course begins, at no additional charge. The substitute must be from the same organization and have equivalent prerequisites. Submit substitution requests to training@redteamalliance.com with the substitute's full name and contact information at least 48 hours before course start. Once a substitution is processed, the original registrant cannot attend.
EU consumer right of withdrawal
For EU consumers: Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of registration. However, by registering for a course with a specific scheduled date and requesting that training services begin during the withdrawal period, you expressly acknowledge that:
- You are requesting immediate performance of services
- You will lose your right of withdrawal once the course begins
- If you cancel during the 14-day period but before the course starts, our standard cancellation timeline above applies
You may exercise your withdrawal right by sending clear written notice to training@redteamalliance.com within 14 days of registration. If you withdraw before the course begins and before any materials are accessed, our standard cancellation terms apply based on the timeline above.
Certification exams and kits
Certification exam vouchers
All certification exam purchases are final and non-refundable once payment is processed. Exam vouchers are valid for 12 months from purchase date and cannot be extended. You may reschedule a scheduled exam up to 48 hours before the appointment without penalty; the voucher will remain valid within the 12-month period.
Certification kits and physical materials
Certification kits containing physical materials (hardware, documentation, access codes) are refundable only until the kit ships from our facility. Once shipped, the certification kit sale is final and non-refundable. If materials are returned unopened within 14 days of delivery and in original condition, a refund will be issued minus shipping costs and a 50USD restocking fee.
Once you access digital components, activate access codes, break security seals, or make your first exam attempt, no refund or credit will be provided under any circumstances.
Digital content and online courses
Downloadable materials and recorded content
For standalone digital content purchases (downloadable PDFs, recorded sessions, self-paced modules), you may request a refund within 30 days of purchase if:
- You have not accessed, downloaded, or streamed any content
- You have not activated your access credentials
- You have not begun any interactive components
By accessing digital content during the 14-day EU withdrawal period, you provide prior express consent for immediate delivery and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal under Article 16(m) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive. This acknowledgment is required by EU law when digital content is supplied before the withdrawal period expires.
Interactive online platforms and subscriptions
Access to interactive training platforms, learning management systems, and live virtual sessions is provided as a service, not as downloadable content. Once you log in to the platform or attend any live session, the service is considered performed and no refund is available. For monthly subscriptions, you may cancel at any time, retaining access through the end of your current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial months.
International shipping and customs
Customer responsibilities
When ordering physical materials for international delivery, you are the importer of record and responsible for compliance with all laws and regulations of your destination country. Red Team Alliance ships all international orders DDU (Duties and Taxes Unpaid). We do not collect, calculate, or pay customs duties, import taxes, VAT, tariffs, or related fees on your behalf. These charges are assessed by your country's customs authority and are solely your responsibility.
Customs delays, fees, and seizures
Red Team Alliance is not responsible for:
- Delays caused by customs processing or inspections
- Packages seized, rejected, or destroyed by customs authorities due to import restrictions or prohibited items
- Customs duties, taxes, fees, or penalties assessed by destination countries
- Return shipping costs if packages are refused or rejected
- Storage fees charged by carriers for unclaimed packages
If your certification kit is returned to us due to customs issues, refused delivery, or inability to locate your address, no refund will be provided for the product cost unless the kit is returned in original, unopened condition. Return shipping costs are your responsibility. We strongly recommend verifying your country's import regulations before ordering physical materials.
Address accuracy
You must provide accurate, complete shipping information including any required business or customs identification numbers. Once an order ships, we cannot modify the destination address for international shipments. Delivery failures due to incorrect, incomplete, or undeliverable addresses do not qualify for refunds.
Payment processing and transaction fees
All third-party payment processing fees are non-refundable regardless of cancellation or refund circumstances. When you make a payment, processing fees are immediately charged by our payment processor (typically 2.9% + €0.30 per transaction) for the service of moving funds. These fees are not recoverable when transactions are refunded, as the processor performed services twice—for both the original charge and the refund.
When a refund is issued, you will receive the refundable amount minus both the administrative cancellation fee (where applicable) and the original payment processing fees. This is standard industry practice across all major payment platforms and training organizations.
Force majeure and unforeseen circumstances
Events beyond our control
Red Team Alliance shall not be liable for failure or delay in delivering training services or materials due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- Natural disasters, severe weather, earthquakes, floods, or other acts of God
- Pandemics, epidemics, or public health emergencies (including COVID-19 and variants)
- War, terrorism, civil unrest, riots, or national emergencies
- Government orders, regulations, travel restrictions, quarantine requirements, or lockdowns
- Strikes, labor disputes, or transportation disruptions
- Failure of internet infrastructure, data centers, hosting providers, or telecommunications networks
- Venue closures or unavailability
- Instructor illness or incapacity
Remedies for force majeure events
If a force majeure event prevents us from delivering training on the scheduled date, we will notify affected participants as soon as reasonably practicable and offer, at our discretion:
- Rescheduling to a mutually agreeable alternative date within 6 months
- Alternative delivery method (e.g., converting in-person training to virtual delivery)
- Course credit valid for 12 months toward any Red Team Alliance training
- Refund of fees paid, minus costs already incurred for materials, platform setup, and instructor contracts
If a force majeure event continues for more than 90 days preventing us from providing alternative delivery, participants may request a refund of amounts paid for services not yet delivered, less actual expenses already incurred. This represents our maximum liability for force majeure events.
Fees and costs beyond our control
Red Team Alliance is not responsible for costs or fees incurred by you that are beyond our reasonable control, including:
- Bank fees, wire transfer fees, currency conversion charges, or international transaction fees charged by your financial institution
- Internet service provider fees, mobile data charges, or bandwidth costs
- Corporate firewall restrictions, IT security policies, or network configurations preventing access to online training
- Equipment purchases, software licenses, or system upgrades required to meet technical prerequisites
- Travel expenses, accommodation costs, or related expenses for in-person training (even if training is cancelled)
- Costs associated with failed delivery attempts, refused packages, or customs issues
Technical requirements and platform access
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for ensuring you have the necessary equipment, reliable internet connection, and technical capabilities to access our online training platforms. Minimum technical requirements are published on our website for each course. Red Team Alliance provides reasonable technical support but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
Service availability limitations
We are not liable for your inability to access training due to:
- Internet connectivity issues or bandwidth limitations
- Device incompatibility or outdated browsers/operating systems
- Corporate network restrictions or firewall configurations
- Third-party platform outages (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, AWS, or other providers)
- Hardware failures or software conflicts on your devices
We recommend testing your technical setup in advance using the connection information provided in your registration confirmation. Technical difficulties on your end do not qualify for refunds unless Red Team Alliance's platform is demonstrably at fault.
Intellectual property and course materials
All training materials, course content, documentation, lab environments, and proprietary methodologies are Copyright © Red Team Alliance. Course materials provided to participants must not be copied, reproduced, distributed, published, or shared with any third party without prior written permission.
Information and techniques provided during training are based on current cybersecurity best practices and are intended for educational purposes and authorized security testing only. Red Team Alliance does not accept responsibility for errors in materials or consequences of applying techniques in production environments. Participants remain responsible for ensuring their activities comply with applicable laws and organizational policies.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Red Team Alliance's total liability for all claims arising from training services, certifications, or materials shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
Red Team Alliance shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, business opportunities, or revenue, however caused and under any theory of liability, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise.
Nothing in this policy excludes or limits liability for:
- Death or personal injury caused by negligence
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
- Any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law
Refund processing and timeline
Approved refunds are processed within 30 calendar days of receiving your written refund request. Refunds are issued to your original payment method. Please allow 5-10 business days after processing for your financial institution to post the credit to your account.
To request a refund or cancellation, email training@redteamalliance.com with:
- Your full name and registration email address
- Course name and scheduled date
- Order/registration number
- Reason for cancellation (required for discretionary review)
- Any supporting documentation if requesting exceptional consideration
Data protection and privacy
Red Team Alliance processes personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2016/679. Your personal information is used solely for course administration, communication, and certification purposes. Governing law and dispute resolution
This policy is governed by the laws of [your EU country/jurisdiction]. For EU consumers, nothing in this policy affects your mandatory consumer protection rights under EU law. Disputes will be resolved in accordance with applicable consumer protection regulations and, where applicable, through alternative dispute resolution mechanisms available in your jurisdiction.
Policy updates
Red Team Alliance reserves the right to update this policy at any time. Changes will be posted on our website with an updated effective date. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. Registrations made before policy updates remain subject to the policy in effect at the time of registration.
